A Day at the Circus

A Saturday afternoon at the Arab Shrine Circus in Topeka  for our family yesterday  We had taken Allison to the circus several years ago, but she didn't remember going. Even after being there, and seeing the set up and some of the acts, it didn't ring a bell for her  But, she had a good time and enjoyed the circus.  These tigers and elephants and one lovely horse were the only animal acts.  The animal acts are my personal favorites, but it seems they are moving away from those types of acts and moving more toward the acrobatics; there were also more clown/"attempts" at humor acts also.  Bruce had taken Allison to the Chinese Circus at McCain in Manhattan a few months ago, and even he made the comment that this circus didn't live up to those standards.  Every act at the Chinese Circus was choreographed with several performers moving constantly and very tailored and succinct as opposed to yesterday where one person would do something and then the next person and so on.  It just wasn't as polished or difficult level.

Feet vs. Inches????

...that's what it sounds like the forecast is for the next few days in the snowfall category.  I don't know that I recall ever receiving quite that amount of snow in one storm in my lifetime.  When I was in Chicago back in 1998/1999, we received about that much at that point up there. It's a lot of snow! :)

DRUMLINE LIVE

Alison and I got to go see Drumeline Live! last night at McCain in Manhattan.  It was fantastic!  Very probably the best show productive I've ever seen.
